BLACKWASH excerpt
Created in response to the ongoing backlash against black actors and representation in films, tv series and shows, BLACKWASH is a viral, video art piece that created important conversation online and caught the attention of public figures such as Emmy winning film producer and actor Lena Waithe and award winning author Yabba Blay.

ASABI is a creative studio founded by
British musician and filmmaker Kyan.
Hailed by music legend Nile Rodgers as a “genius” and championed by Emmy winning writer and film producer Lena Waithe, Kyan is a multi-disciplinary artist who has amassed over 130 million streams, composed music and created films for major television networks and brands.
Growing up an introverted black boy in a bi-racial, lesbian household in Cambridge informed Kyan’s early desire to focus his art on building connection and navigating the human experience through the universal languages of music and film.
