HOI AN, Old Town by night
Join me on an artistic journey through the enchanting Old Town of Hoi An, Vietnam. In this cinematic exploration, I celebrate the simplicity and beauty of everyday life.
For the past two weeks, I’ve been staying at the stunning Hung Do's Beach Homestay, nestled on a quiet road by An Bang Beach. The experience has been incredible, especially with the delightful "The French Bakery" across the street, serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine made by a wonderful local family. I often find myself dining there twice a day!
After feeling under the weather for about a week, I finally ventured out on a scooter to the vibrant Old Town. It was a revelation! Having struggled with a broken Atomos Ninja V monitor and tripod for months, I was thrilled when they finally arrived after four attempts to order them. With my gear finally ready, I set off to capture the beauty of Hoi An.
The Old Town dazzled with lights and energy, teeming with people eager to experience its charm. I felt completely at ease setting up my Blackmagic 6K camera to capture the everyday scenes that caught my eye.
This 2-minute film showcases the unique sights and sounds of Hoi An, all shot with a Blackmagic 6K camera and vintage lenses, creating a nostalgic yet contemporary aesthetic.
